On the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder…
Goofy’s Family Pool
Whole families can “goof around” in this fantastic pool area that’s perfect for fun in the sun. The Goofy Pool provides fun and relaxation for everyone – guests can kick back in a comfy lounge chair, swim or enjoy one of two whirlpools.
Ariel Vision, a jumbo LED screen on deck 9, shows movies, major sporting events, and enhances outdoor entertainment and deck parties by the Goofy family pool area.
Nearby Pinocchio’s Pizzeria and Goofy’s Galley are convenient for a quick nosh, serving pizza, ice cream treats and frozen yogurt, plus healthy options such as fresh fruit, salads, sandwich wraps and toasted paninis.
Deck Parties
Deck parties are family celebrations under the sun and stars with daily music, live bands, dancing and Disney characters. Starting with the Sail Away Celebration, the ship’s horn blasts the iconic first seven notes of “When You Wish Upon a Star,” signaling the beginning of an incredible voyage.
The Pirates IN the Caribbean deck party is an adventure for everyone. With stunt performers repelling from atop the funnel, an epic battle at sea ensues as the good guys take on the villains. Characters such as Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Captain Mickey, Minnie and Goofy join guests for a raucous good time, complete with music, dancing and a spectacular Disney-style grand finale – the only fireworks display at sea!
Live Shows
The whole family will be dazzled by brilliant Broadway-style productions in the magnificent 977-seat Walt Disney Theatre. Extraordinary singing, dancing, costumes, special effects, Disney characters and moments of sheer magic delight guests of all ages.
Premiere stage shows on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder include “The Golden Mickeys,” which combines theatrical song and dance, animated film, video and special effects to salute Walt Disney and his legacy of animation magic, featuring many of Disney’s most famous characters; and “Disney Dreams…An Enchanted Classic,” which tells a bedtime story featuring Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Cinderella, Ariel and other popular Disney characters who together teach a young girl the power of her dreams.
On the Disney Wonder, the toy-sized adventure of Buzz Lightyear and Woody comes to life in “Toy Story-The Musical,” the most elaborate musical ever produced for a cruise ship. The Disney Magic’s “Twice charmed: An Original Twist on the Cinderella Story” immerses the audience in a musical story that begins where the original fairy tale ended.
Movies
Walt Disney Theatre hosts first-run Disney film premieres, allowing cruisers to enjoy a film’s opening at the same time it’s making its nationwide release on land, as well as first-run features and Disney classics. Buena Vista Theatre also shows recent releases and Disney classics. Both state-of-the-art theaters feature Disney Digital 3-D technology, bringing a whole new dimension of cinematic entertainment to the high seas.
Studio Sea
A colorful “TV studio” environment is the setting for this family club, where there are always an abundance of games and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Audience participation game shows entertain and amuse; trivia contests put knowledge of Disney facts to the test; and karaoke nights encourage families to take the stage and sing together – perfect vocal skills not required, it’s all in the name of fun! Dynamic dance parties – where guests can kick up their heels or boogie down with special appearances by favorite Disney characters – are fun for all ages.
Characters
Tea with Wendy Darling is a posh-yet-casual afternoon snack just for families. Peter Pan’s pal, Wendy, enchants guests with stories of her adventures while they enjoy an afternoon service of iced tea, served in a teapot, and cookies.
Character Breakfasts offer guests aboard the Disney Magic a special way to meet popular Disney characters for pictures, hugs and autographs.
Additional opportunities to meet Disney characters for photos and autographs are scheduled throughout every sailing, and other intimate and spontaneous character moments happen every day.
