Disney Fantasy at Sea
- The Walt Disney Company announced plans on March 3, 2016 to build two additional cruise ships, each showcasing the immersive family entertainment, enchanting storytelling and unparalleled service that only Disney can deliver. The company has entered into a memorandum of agreement with the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, and the schedule calls for the new ships to be completed in 2021 and 2023. Each ship will be approximately 135,000 gross tons – slightly larger than the newest Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy – and each is currently planned to include about 1,250 guest staterooms. Design plans, ship names and itineraries are still in development.
- The Disney Dream, the third ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, launched in 2011 offering modern features, industry firsts and unmistakable Disney touches. Disney Cruise Line was established in 1998 as a leader in the cruise industry and provides a setting where families can reconnect, adults can recharge and kids can immerse themselves in worlds of wonder.
- The Disney Fantasy continues the Disney Cruise Line tradition of blending the elegant grace of early 20th century transatlantic ocean liners with contemporary design and spectacular Disney entertainment. (Disney)
